Ski season is here, and with that, the all-important après ski planning. Mt. Bachelor has a new ski lift this season — Cloudchaser — and with it, 635 additional acres of lift served terrain, making Mt. Bachelor the 5th largest ski area in the United States. With all of that new terrain to explore, you’re going to want to know where to get cozy and aprés ski in Bend. We have some ideas.
The Clubhouse at Pronghorn Resort, where you’ll find casual aprés ski fair in Cascada, outdoor and indoor fireplaces, board games, TVs, and lots of space for sitting, sipping and enjoying winter life.
If you haven’t yet planned that ski vacation? Get in on our seasonal specials and ski packages! Bistro 28 at the Athletic Club of Bend
One of our requirements to a great après ski destination is a roaring fireplace. Bistro 28, located inside the Athletic Club of Bend, has a large and storied one at that. Warm up in front of the historic Pilot Butte Inn fireplace, invite friends to gather round, and enjoy après ski specials. En route from Mt. Bachelor and just off of Century Drive.
The closest brewery to Pronghorn Resort, Worthy Brewing is a convenient stop on your way back from a day on Mt. Bachelor. Enjoy happy hour specials and outdoor fire pits that inspire community and conversation. Get another stamp on your Bend Ale Trail map while you’re there.
Washington Dining and Cocktails
New to the Northwest Crossing neighborhood is Washington Dining & Cocktails. Known for their liquid therapy and large outdoor area with fire pits and large-screen televisions, Washington is the place to go if you like craft cocktails, tableside tonics, hand-crafted elixers, and a friendly neighborhood vibe. Enjoy the complimentary bag of artisan popcorn as soon as you sit down, and stroll next door to Roundabout Bookstore after drinks and dinner.
The Box Factory is a historic, renovated building located just a few blocks from downtown and across the street from the Old Mill District. The 100-year-old box factory now houses Immersion Brewing, where you can drink great craft beer (or make it on their brew-it-yourself system) and local favorite Atlas Cider Company’s tasting room where you can enjoy hard cider, pool, popcorn and arcade games.
